Twin Star Farms Fox Trotters have to play a lot of roles. We give riding lessons and guided trail rides for beginning riders. Our strategy is to find proven, naturally-gaited stock -- gentle and versatile enough to deliver a riding experience that’s fun for all ages and experience levels. We strive for pretty, smooth, safe and fun horses. Here are a few of the gems we’ve found.
Playboy’s
Heart of Gold
"Goldie" is the whole package: a head-turning riding
mare that’s also the MFTHBA 2009 World Grand Champion Youth 11 and Under
winner. She is a direct daughter of WGC Southern Playboy.
Goldie’s show credentials include: the 2004 3 Yr Old World Champion Mare, 2005 Reserve 4 Year Old World Champion Mare, 2007 Youth National Breeders Cup Champion, 2007 Youth Novice and Ladies Novice Champion, 2008 Southern Classic Youth Champion, 2008 Youth 11 & Under Mares World Champion, 2009 11 & Under Mid-America Champion, 2009 Southern Classic Youth Champion, 2009 11 & Under Mares World Champion, and 2009 11 & Under World Grand Champion. We are riding Goldie on trails and raising babies with her. She is currently in foal to a wonderful naturally-gaited stallion, WC Jester's Special Time M
Betty's Country Dandy"Dandy" is a registered sorrel and white spotted Fox Trotter mare sired by Amateur WGC Country Jazz. She is the only spotted horse to carry a garland out of Ava in gaited performance. She is a super gentle mare that anyone can ride.
Dandy has done it all and is a one-of-a-kind spotted Fox Trotter that is helping us to create some of the finest spotted gaited horses available. Dandy is well set and very true in her gaits -- fox trot and flat walk. She has a lot of rhythm and head nod. Dandy has a power-house backend that is hard to find these days. Her conformation is very good with a shorter back, straight legs, big bones and a stout frame. Dandy is a wonderful lesson horse for kids and beginners. She can show any rider the gaits and be trusted on the trail. We had her a week, and she placed third in an open gaited horse show with my 14 yo niece on board (a novice rider in her first show). Boss Man's Frosted Honey SH
Sorrel
sabino Fox Trotter riding horse with Boss Man and Danney
Joe bloodlines. Honey is ten years old, stands 15hh and has an awesome personality
for obstacle courses and trail riding.
Honey is unusually close to the celebrated sire Zane Grey for a mare her age (DOB 2001). Her offspring gait in the pasture and have very good minds. This mare goes through anything on the trail, can be loaded and ridden by children and is a wonderfully sweet member of our family. She has multiple easy gaits, a balanced canter and is athletic enough to carry a 280 lb man all day long. She has everything it takes to win at versatility or become a comfortable ranch horse. Bottom line is that this mare is fun to handle and ride. We are lucky to have found her. View pedigree View video
