OUR HORSES
Twin Star Farms Fox Trotters have to play a lot of roles. We show in local gaited horse shows. We give riding lessons and guided trail rides for beginning riders. So our breeding strategy is to find credentialed, naturally-gaited show stock that are also gentle and versatile enough to make a riding experience fun for all ages and experience levels. We strive for pretty, smooth, safe and fun horses. Here are a few of the gems we’ve found.

Betty's Country Dandy
Registered 14 yo Sorrel and White Spotted Fox Trotter Mare - "Dandy" is sired by WGC Country Jazz and is the only spotted horse to carry a garland out of Ava in performance.  She is a super gentle mare that anyone can ride.

Dandy has done it all and is a pleasure to own and ride.  She really takes care of her rider.  We had her a week and she placed third in an Open Gaited Horse Show with my 14 yo niece on board (a novice rider in her first show).  Dandy is well set in her gaits -- fox trot and flat walk.  She has a lot of rhythm and head nod.  She's a great breeding prospect for raising high quality MFTs with color. Coming in 2010 - Cast Iron Country Jazz TSF (name pending)
Betty’s Country Dandy x Cast Iron Wizard H

Spotted or solid, this foal should be a fantastic family horse with incredible natural ability! Both sire and dam have wonderful personalities, natural gait and have won in performance at Ava. And both are sound minded enough to have been ridden by children and been solid on the trail. Contact us if you are interested in purchasing this outstanding Fox Trotter foal.  View pedigree

Boss Man's Frosted Honey SH
Sorrel Fox Trotter performance horse and brood mare with foundation bloodlines and sabino roaning.  Honey is eight years old, stands 15hh and is currently in foal to Cast Iron Wizard H.

Honey’s bloodlines boast many show ring winners on both top and bottom of her pedigree. She is unusually close to the celebrated sire Zane Grey for a mare her age (DOB 2001). The WGC Model Champions in her background show in her conformation. Her offspring gait on the ground and can be winners in the show ring. This mare goes through anything on the trail, can be loaded and ridden by children and is a wonderfully sweet member of the family. She has multiple easy gaits, a balanced canter and is athletic enough to carry a 280 lb man all day long. And she has everything it takes to win at Versatility or become a comfortable ranch horse. Bottom line is that this mare is fun to handle and ride. View pedigree

He is a stout, short-backed fellow with a very square, well-timed flat walk and fox trot.  Oh, and did I mention he’s been ridden by an eight year old and also been out on very rough trails in Missouri? Honey’s swing and size should cross really well with him. Both are calm, gentle, willing and love people. My goodness, these are nice versatile horses! We can’t wait for the baby.
